It isn't the best quality. But for a 5 year old, I think it will work just fine. Unfortunately, the desk had a pretty good musky smell. I used my BIN oil-based shellac primer to coat inside and out to eliminate the odor. Yes, I painted every surface, inside and out. It worked like a charm.
Next, I painted a million layers of the paint to get this hot pink color my daughter picked. Finally, I polyed it about 5 times on top. My little angel is an artist. I wanted to make sure the top could endure her artistic endeavors. Then to finish it up, I found great knobs at Hobby Lobby. It is now a hot pink delight.
I WANT IT!!!!! LOVE the color you picked! It looks AWESOME!!! I've been trying to convince my hubby to paint my daughter's dresser that color! I will show him how pretty it looks!
